This podcast was a "long time coming," but Katie finally took a break from watching Bette and Tina videos on YouTube to join her husband for one last Season 4 episode roundup. Season 4 is over, but The L Word: Straight Up isn't! Tune in next week for the special wrap-up show in which Andy and Bethany will duke it out over Shane.

Katie's sister Bethany fills in for Andy this week, and there must be something in the Coke the girls are drinking because they cannot hold themselves together. (Oh yeah, it's rum.) Although the editing is rough and the Garage Band version needs updating, a good time is had by all, except Andy who had to edit this monster. Somehow, this—the penultimate episode of the season—provokes discussion of alcoholism, "boogeyman cleavage," and, of course, Jesus. UPDATE: Don't worry. We're not dead. We're just having trouble letting go. If we record the podcast for the season finale, then it's really over, isn't it? Check back Sunday night. We'll be ready to let go by then. And, just because y'all are awesome fans, we're bringing Bethany back for a special Season 4 wrap-up podcast to be available on Sunday, April 8. It'll be a three-way you won't soon forget!

From Alice’s tinkling to basketball, “Layup” was a hodge-podge of plot points. It was clear that Elizabeth Ziff (a.k.a. ezgirl) of Betty fame wrote the episode. Bette makes Katie feel stupid and afraid (which she likes) and Andy has straight feelings about Shane in her underwear.
