I am getting the feeling there are two sides to the L Word. The surreal and the real. I find myself watching the stuff with Shane and saying that is so unreal and then laughing because it is just soapy television. Then getting bored with some of the rest of it because it seems too much like real life. How sad is that. These poor writers can't win. tee hee.
I agree with the stuff with Alice and Tasha. I don't understand women who would serve a country that still considers their civil rights not valid. Don't get me wrong, I respect what the men and women in this country have given their lives for us and am grateful. I just have a very hard time with a policy the belives that you can come to this contry illegaly and be ushered into the military and given rights while men and women who were born in this country and volunteer to serve are turned away or excused from duty based on their sexual orientation. Yet, right now in this country, a married officer is on the run for murdering a woman he is accused of raping. I believe they base homosexuality in the military as a sexual immorality, almost a crime......I don't get the pull for women in the military either. "Don't ask, Don't tell?" I guess that means that anyone can tell. It doesn't have to be you.
Hey....my girlfrien is listening with me now. So now you have two fans in Vegas.
Take care, Vegas Julie
Yodle yo!
Over here (Swissyland) we thought that the friend Shane was reminded of was indeed Dana, if in looks only. Maybe they found Erin's cousin and gave her a litte work.
Favorite moment/quote: "Bet you wanted that job" a line from Kit to Max, just after Jenny left with her new doormat, eh, assistant.
There's one thing we like as much as finding the L Word episodes on YouTube (shhhh, we can't get Showtime anyway), and that's listening to you guys talk about it afterwards. Really! Keep up the great work. :-)
